𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻, a two-day international hybrid symposium in London brings together scholars, practitioners and young people to confront the global silencing, complicity and epistemicide surrounding knowledge production about Palestinian children.

The event is held at the 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲, UCL East and hosted online on September 2-3, 2025 along with the launch of an art exhibition and film program till mid-Sept. Free and open to the public.

The symposium features many dedicated scholars researching Palestinian childhood including Ghassan Abu-Sittah, Janette Habashi, Brian Barber, Abeer Musleh, Erica Jimenez, Amahl Bishara, Yousef Aljamal, Kristen Hope, Cindy Sousa, Jeeda Al Hakim, Lynn Hamdallah, Rhawann El Hakim, Ghassan Abdallah, Ian Barron, Mohamed Marie, Shahrazad Odeh, Abeer Otman, Elizabeth Wehbe, and Julia Shatz.

Thanks to Prof. Heidi Morrison for co-organizing this timely and urgent forum with Janette Habashi, Rana Abu-Zhaya, Feryal Awan, and editing the newly published book, 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣, where I also contributed a chapter on my research with children in Gaza.
